Stefani Tadio
I am a paper artist living in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of
upstate New York, near Rochester. My specialty is hand stitched original
designs on paper. I create my designs using a computerized cutting
machine and stitch each piece by hand with needle & thread, one
stitch at a time. I make wall art, Sticky Notes, greeting cards,
wearable art pins, magnets, decorative tins and hanging ornaments. You
can see my work at area festivals, local stores and in my (reopening soon!) online store.
I've been making art my whole life - it's a family thing. It's what we do. I've devoted large portions of my life to quilting, pottery, needlepoint, cross-stitching, rubber stamping - but the combination of paper and thread just makes my heart sing!
I live with my partner of 20 years, Steve Comstock. I have a son, Simon, and Steve has a daughter, Lizz, and son-in-law, Tom. We have an elderly Beagle (Reggi), a young energetic Beagle/Border Collie mix (Tyson) and a cat (Verona) keeping us company.
